Political stuff so it is:
As you may know, I live in a very conservative region (not town, just region). On my way to work I drive/ride through one of the most Republican rural areas of the county. Last week when I went to Wealdsmere/Spokane I drove through a conservative part of Washington.
During these trips I have been taking note carefully; since the political season has begun I have counted 5 (five) yard and road signs for McCain, only one of which is large, none listing his running mate. Whereas I have seen many signs for Obama-Biden including huge ones. In some areas there are big road side signs for Republican County Sheriff and State Legislators, but no Presidental candidate sign. Unusual.
There is no way I think this means Obama will take Idaho or Eastern Washington, I'm not THAT optimistic.
But I do think this indicates a local lack of passion for the ticket.
